This work has been three years in the making. From the very first piece it is evident that this album captures the natural presence of Surya’s voice and music as never before. If you have been patiently waiting for him to record "The Snows of Lashi" or "Water", then you are in for a joyous surprise. The recording contains earlier Rumi songs such as "First Love Story" and "Where Are We?" in breathtaking arrangements. There are new Rumi settings as well, surging with the creative artistry of Glen Velez and Vernon David. Surya’s own "Wings", "Buddha", and "Quetzalcoatl" reveal a rich and varied palette. And if it sounds like this album was recorded by Norman Blain, a Grammy award winning engineer who is one of Surya’s dearest friends, well… it was.
